Craig has worked in the care sector since 2001 and qualified as a social worker in 2008 working in Adult Social Care.
Throughout his career he has specialised in the mental health sector. In addition to being an Approved Mental Health Professional and a Best Interest Assessor for Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, he has managed community mental health teams, been an Area Manager for safeguarding and a Regional Manager for substance misuse services.
His research interests are substance misuse and mental health, and the interface between the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act.
