Overton Buildings is a development of 11 high quality, self-contained apartments in Leek that provides accommodation and 24 hour support for people with complex mental health needs. Each apartment includes an ensuite bedroom, lounge and kitchen.

Person-centred recovery support is provided by our core on-site team of Recovery Support Workers, with additional support from our Quality and Practice Team.

Overton Buildings enjoys a central location just 200 metres from Leek’s historic marketplace and within easy walking distance of a wide range of amenities. The town offers a vibrant and welcoming community, with a thriving arts, music and cultural scene, alongside museums, parkland and regular local events. A wealth of independent shops, cafés, supermarkets, charity shops, a post office and well-known retailers such as Costa are all within a 15-minute walk of the service.

GP practices, dentists and opticians are all nearby, as is the local leisure centre. Excellent public transport links provide regular connections to Stoke-on-Trent, Macclesfield, Buxton and the Peak District, making Overton Buildings ideally situated to enjoy both the convenience of town living and the beauty of the surrounding area.

We work to support and sustain the transition for people with mental health needs from institutional settings to their own tenancy in the community, enabling them to live independently while receiving the exact package of recovery support that they need.

The people living here are aged between 20 and 60 years old. They like exploring the local area, including Rudyard Lake and Tittesworth Water, as well as enjoying cooking, crafts, going shopping and watching movies.
