Albion Gardens
Life-changing support for adults with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries or mental health conditions.
Type of property
At Albion Gardens apartments, people come together as a community. Living in this shared complex means people benefit from a vibrant network of staff and friends, as well as enjoying the independence of their own apartment.
There are sixteen one-bedroom apartments, each with an open-plan kitchen and living room, and a wet room style bathroom. Albion Gardens also has an accessible garden with a patio where people can relax when the weather is good.
Assistive technology can be tailored to suit the needs of each person and includes an intercom system and CCTV throughout the property. There is level access to the ground floor apartments, as well as a lift for access to the first floor.
Pets are welcome - there is a cat, some fish, gerbils and a hamster.
Valued in your community
At Albion Gardens, we are fortunate to be located in a vibrant area with cafes, pubs, restaurants, shops, high-street banks, a post office, and a library.
Farnworth Leisure Centre has exercise classes, a gym and a swimming pool. People also enjoy walking in the local area. Moses Gate Country Park and Farnworth Central Park are popular destinations.
Nearby Bolton provides access to larger amenities including restaurants, high-street banks, the Crompton Place Shopping Centre, Bolton Market, the Octagon Theatre, a Light Cinema and Hollywood Bowl Bolton for bowling. Manchester also has lots of places to visit including the Arndale Centre and Trafford Centres for shopping, Sealife Manchester and the Coronation Street Tour in Media City, Salford.
Living at this service
We are ready to welcome someone with a good level of independence.
People here have hobbies including volunteering, gaming, listening to music, watching television, karaoke, walking, shopping, cooking, bingo, swimming, bowling, socialising and being in the community. People enjoy spending time together doing in-house activities.
At Albion Mews, people choose how they spend their time. Day trips to Blackpool are favourites. Some of the people we support have been on holiday abroad or in the UK. Albion Mews, another Lifeways property, is next door and the two properties enjoy socialising as a group.
“The people we support enjoy living at Albion Gardens as it is very person-centred and promotes independence. The apartments are well maintained and in a new-build property. This makes it very easy for people to personalise their home environment. The staff are long-term and provide 24 hour support.” Manager, Albion Gardens
