Our quality

Quality at Lifeways

At Lifeways, we weave Quality into everything we do. Quality can be seen in the continual development of our teams and services to provide the very best support. Quality means always striving to lead the way in our sector. And our Quality can also be found in how we take an innovative approach, finding new and different ways to shape our support.

Our three specialisms

Our goal at Lifeways is to deliver the highest quality of care for each person we support with all our services rated as Good and Outstanding by our regulators.

That’s why our services are structured into three focused specialisms – Supported Living, Residential and Mental Health. This way we can confidently deliver the highest quality support through dedicated services with a clear remit and specialist training, ensuring greater support for our teams to continually improve the quality of care we provide for the people we support.

Maintaining our standards

At Lifeways, our standard of care is extremely important to us. Our highly skilled and dedicated Quality Team work together with our colleagues across Lifeways to maintain and increase our regulatory ratings (CQC, CI and CIW) in our services across the UK. We hold accreditations with a number of key societies and organisations, ensuring we stay close to the very latest updates and advancements in our sector, to continually learn and improve. And we’re proud to continue to be nominated for prestigious industry awards.

Using feedback to shape our support

As a large, UK-wide organisation, we recognise the importance of using feedback to help us understand, maintain and improve our quality. We invite and welcome hearing from the people we support, their families, our teams and healthcare professionals on a regular basis to ensure we’re able to acknowledge and respond to both positive and constructive feedback, helping us better shape our everyday support and plans for the future.

Taking a collaborative approach

At Lifeways, we’ve always believed in shaping our support around each individual. But we’ve found even more value in encouraging the people we support to have more influence over their own support. With the introduction of our Co-production process and team of Quality Checkers, we’re able to take a truly inclusive approach, empowering the people we support to have a voice in how Lifeways works.

Our success stories

Having supported nearly 5,000 adults in making the move to Lifeways since 1995, we’ve enjoyed many success stories along the way. Success looks different to each person - whether it’s learning a new skill, learning to live with more independence, or the joy of a new-found friendship - we’re proud to celebrate all achievements and proud moments, big or small, with the people we support and their families.
