Life-changing support for adults with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries or mental health conditions.
Type of property
Brindley Moss apartments provide the perfect blend of independent living and communal spaces. Living in a shared building means people can benefit from a vibrant network of staff and friends, while having the independence of their own apartment at the same time.
The property has twelve one-bedroom apartments, each with an open-plan kitchen and lounge, and a wet room style bathroom. There is also a communal reading room for people to use together.
Brindley Moss has an accessible garden for people to relax in when the weather is good. Assistive technology includes a Tunstall connected health system in all apartments, an intercom, and CCTV throughout. There is level access into the property and a lift for the upper floors.
Valued in your community
At Brindley Moss, we are fortunate to be located in a vibrant residential area. The local area has cafes, pubs and restaurants, as well as a post office and a library. A short journey into Altrincham offers larger shops, restaurants, high-street banks and cafes, as well as Altrincham Market for food and drinks, Planet Ice for skating, the Everyman Altrincham Cinema and a Vue Cinema.
For people who like to stay active, Altrincham Leisure Centre provides year-round access to a gym and swimming pool. People can also go for picturesque walks along Bridgewater Canal.
In nearby Manchester, there are lots of places to visit, including the Arndale and Trafford Shopping Centres, Sea Life Manchester, the Opera House, an Odeon cinema, theatres, museums, art galleries and bowling alleys. There’s also the Coronation Street Tour in Media City, Salford.
Living at this service
Brindley Moss is ready to welcome someone new. The people we support here enjoy watching television, going to Zumba classes, watching football, gaming, volunteering, shopping, listening to music, cooking, and being in the community. In spring and summer, the Brindley Moss walking club and gardening club are well attended by the residents of the apartments.
People at Brindley Moss choose how they spend their time. As well as regular outings for lunch, people also particularly enjoy day trips to the coast or local markets - Chester Zoo, Knowsley Safari Park, York, the Isle of White, and the Lake District are favourites.
“At Brindley Moss, the people we support are friends, which has created a real family community. It’s a very happy and active place to live and work - the staff are strong and supportive. The area is great and has all necessary amenities. Everyone here says that they enjoy making their own choices and feel that they are listened to by staff.” Manager, Brindley Moss
