Living at this service
Guernsey Drive is ideal for a woman around 40 years of age. The women we support here are aged between 30 and 50, are easy-going and enjoy the peace and quiet. A person with a similar outlook will be very welcome here.
The people we support have learning disabilities, dementia, cerebral palsy and Down’s Syndrome. Their interests include line dancing, socialising, walking, gardening, spending time in the community, cooking and shopping. Together people enjoy playing board games, going for lunch, bingo and karaoke. People at Guernsey Drive choose how they spend their time outside the house - Blackpool illuminations, the local Sea Life Centre and the coast are favourites.
“The people we support at Guernsey Drive really enjoy living here - it feels like a home. Strong bonds have been formed, both between the people who live here and with the staff. It is a happy house and all of the staff find it a very enjoyable place to work.” Manager, Guernsey Drive
