Living at this service
Lightwood Road is ideal for an active and sociable person. At Lightwood Road, we currently support both men and women with diverse needs, including learning disabilities, brain injury and physical disabilities.
People enjoy sitting in the garden, sensory activities, shopping, singing, music therapy, karaoke, football, listening to music, watching television, shopping, bowling, bingo and being in the community.
Lightwood Road is an active household – people choose how they spend their time. We go on regular day trips - Chester Zoo, or the monkey forest at Trentham Gardens are favourites. People here like to stay in a specialised hotel in Blackpool, and every year people choose to watch the local Christmas pantomime. There's an adapted minibus for everyone to use.
“At Lightwood Road we strive to have the right values to support all of the people we care for. We want them to have the best lives possible and always place them at the centre of everything we do.” Manager, Lightwood Road
