Living at this service
Life at Reiver House is suitable for people with learning disabilities and autism.
We are ready to welcome a person aged between 20 and 50 to join the people we support. The people who live here are non-verbal and so anyone joining the service should be aware of this.
One man likes going in the hydro pool, trampolining, biking, feeding the ducks and going out for meals. Another appreciates a slower pace of life, enjoying sensory activities, arts and crafts, and going on his iPad. The third man we support enjoys going to the park and for a drive in the car.
At Reiver House, people choose how they spend their time. Trips to Blackpool and Southport are favourites. People have varied interests including listening to music, walking, watching television, shopping, cooking, swimming, gardening, socialising and being in the community.
“People like living at Reiver House as it is a lovely small community where the locals get involved and are really friendly - the community services are engaging with all of the people we support. We’re close to all amenities too. The staff are always on hand to give as much or as little support as people need, continually aiming to promote independence and ensure that everyone can lead the happy life that they want. The cosy rooms are perfect for people to make their own.” Manager, Reiver House
