Valued in your community
At The Courtyard, we are fortunate to be located in a vibrant residential area with cafes, pubs and restaurants. A short walk into Lincoln gives access to a post office, a library, high-street banks, Valentine Retail Park, St Marks Shopping Centre, theatres, an Odeon cinema, Lincoln Bowl, the museum of Lincolnshire Life, the International Bomber Command Centre, and Lincoln Castle.
For people who like to stay active, there are many leisure centres to choose from for year-round access to a gym and swimming pool. The area also has picturesque walks in South or West Common, or along the local river and dikes.
Living at this service
The people we support here have varying needs, including learning disabilities, autism, mental health conditions, physical disabilities and challenging behaviour.
At The Courtyard, people choose how they spend their time, enjoying socialising, listening to music, volunteering, working, gaming, walking, watching snooker and football on the television, shopping, cooking, swimming, and being in the community.
This is a really sociable place to live - people choose to spend time together for regular film nights, Sunday lunches and parties.
We have meetings every quarter to decide what activities people would like to do - group trips to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park is a favourite. People have also been on camping and fishing trips.
“The Courtyard apartments are very interactive - all of the people we support really like each other and regularly go out together. The staff are there 24/7 to give emotional support and to help with socialising if needed. People are very happy and active here.” Manager, The Courtyard
