A day in the life of our recruiter Justin
Recruiting in our sector is not for the faint-hearted but this year we have done over 3,700 job interviews with some of these interviews being for our Head Office roles. We asked Justin, our Head Office Recruiter what life has been life for him in the Lifeways recruitment team over the past six months.
"I have been working from home since March. Recruitment across our head office and corporate functions have not really been impacted over the last six months, if anything we have been in a lucky position where there has been a lot of good talent in the market and we have benefited from this. Certainly in areas such as Finance, HR, and IT where we traditionally do not have to recruit from the same sector we have made some key hires over the last six months. I think also it is important that as a business we are able to attract people from different sectors and tap into their knowledge and expertise.
Across our more sector specific functions such as Business Development, Quality, Specialist Support and Property we have continued to hire in key positions, as well as grow some of our teams such as learning and development and training. The last six months have also allowed us to re-focus on some of the key projects that we have running across Recruitment and HR such as rolling out psychometrics across the group and internal mobility. I expect things will continue to be busy as the year progresses".
