Anne Marie's Lifeways Story

Regional Operations Director Anne Marie Mcmahon shares the story of her 14 years at Lifeways.  

"With Lifeways celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, I think we should celebrate how many peoples lives we have changed for the better, both the people we support and our staff". 

What drew you to Lifeways?  

"Although we were acquired I really enjoy working for Lifeways and if I had the opportunity again and we weren’t acquired, I would definitely have Lifeways on my list of preferred companies to work for."   

What’s something that has changed during your time at Lifeways? 

"Since I joined Lifeways we have really developed our support functions, especially Learning and Development".  

What do you think we should be celebrating after 25 years?   

"How many people's lives we have changed for the better, both the people we support and our staff. This is a challenging job, however, I do believe that we have given all the teams an opportunity to make good memories". 

What is your favourite Lifeways memory? 

"For me personally, it is that hard work pays off in the long run. This is a tough industry but I have been given the opportunity to develop both personally and with my career and I have experienced every role from Support Worker right through to Regional Director. This journey hasn’t been easy but I can honestly say that every day I am faced with a new challenge that makes me a better person".
