Ash House is a welcoming, supportive and stimulating residential service for people with complex care and support needs to live fulfilling lives.
This modern detached house provides care for six people and is split into four individual apartments, and a two-person shared apartment, each with a kitchen, dining room and lounge alongside two person-centred living quarters. Each apartment has a wet-room style ensuite bathroom and the property also has laundry rooms. Within the service the house has a games room and an arts and crafts room to add to the activities available for the people we support here. Each bedroom has a smart TV with access to a varied entertainment systems including Netflix, Disney Plus and Prime. We are in the stages of implementing a cinema room for everyone to enjoy.
Ash House has an accessible garden with a patio for people to relax when the weather is good and we provide a swimming pool in the summer that everyone can enjoy. Assistive technology includes an intercom system, door sensors, automatic lights and CCTV.

At Ash House, we’re fortunate to be located just a short walk from a range of vibrant shops and cafes. The service has access to a vehicle and we provide weekly activities out to the local cinema, swimming and bowling in the Xcel Centre.
In nearby Coventry, we are able to access any local amenities you need including the Cinema, Lower Precinct Shopping Centre and a number of museums, theatres and art galleries.
Living at this service
At Ash House, we promote choice and independence and each person receives one-to-one support to enable them to live the life they choose. The service is very activity-based and much of the week is spent on various hobbies and activities, chosen by the individuals who live here.
The support team are equipped to deal with challenging behaviour, so someone with complex care needs is very welcome here. The people we support are aged between 18 and 35 and have diverse needs including learning disabilities, autism and cerebral palsy. Families are encouraged and welcome to visit their loved ones and to be as involved in their support as they choose to be.
People here have varying individual interests including cooking, swimming, baking, gaming, watching WWE, ice hockey and horse riding.
Each person contributes to their nutritional plan designed around different dietary requirements, the menu planning allows choice and control and we encourage everyone to try new things.
