Living at this service
The men we support here are aged between 34 and 63 years old, and live with learning disabilities, autism and other health conditions. One man here likes to watch television in his room, and appreciates the peace and quiet. Another man enjoys going to the day centre four days a week, and spends a lot of time in the community, as well as in church on a Sunday. People have varied interests including walking, gaming, listening to music, gardening, shopping, cooking, watching television, volunteering, socialising and being in the community. At Avonridge, people choose how they spend their time. Trips to the local towns, castles, museums and shows are favourites.
