Beadmans Corner
Type of property
Beadmans Corner is an accessible, modern bungalow where people are supported to live happy and independent lives.
The house has four good-sized bedrooms, a large kitchen with wheelchair adapted sink and an open plan living-dining room. There’s also a laundry room and a small staffing room that could be used as a staff sleep-in room when overnight support is required.
Outside there’s a garden and large patio with wheelchair access through the patio doors and a lawned area. Assistive technology can be tailored to suit the needs of each person. There is level access into the bungalow.
Living at this service
Life at Beadmans Corner is suitable for people with learning disabilities, autism or physical disabilities.
It is home to three ladies who are all wheelchair users. Two of the ladies are in their 70s and one lady is her 40s. The service would be suitable for a mature lady who would like to live independently and who doesn’t mind occasional noise.
One of the ladies living here loves colouring and going out into the community, the other likes to play games on her tablet, shopping and socialising. They both enjoy going out for day trips and especially like going to see the local panto.
Valued in your community
Beadmans Corner is located in the village of Ravenstone, a couple of miles from Ashby-de-la-Zouch. Ravenstone has a pub, post office, village hall and recreation ground. Coalville is less than a mile away and is a busy town with plenty of high street shops, supermarkets, cafes and restaurants.
Both Leicester and Burton-on-Trent are about half an hour away by car, and have plenty of amenities, tourist attractions, heritage sites and leisure facilities.
“Beadmans Corner is a lovely bungalow within close reach of a nice town centre by car. It is quiet most of the time but can get loud at times. The staff have been there a long time and know the ladies and area very well.”
