Brookhouse Grove is a modern semi-detached house where people are supported to live independently.

The house has four bedrooms, one of which is a spare room used for staff sleep-in. There’s a large kitchen, two lounges and a shared bathroom. Outside there’s a lovely back garden with a lawn, seating area and a summerhouse.

Life at Brookhouse Grove is suitable for people with learning disabilities or autism.

It’s a female-only service and is currently home to three ladies aged between 35 and 55. The house has a lively atmosphere and everyone gets along and enjoys spending time together. They enjoy shopping, days trips and going to the theatre. They also like visiting the local park and popping into town for lunch.

Brookhouse Grove is in a popular residential area, with a few shops locally and excellent transport links into St Helens. Within a few minutes’ drive there are supermarkets, cafes, restaurants and pubs. It’s a short bus journey into St Helens where there are plenty of high street shops, banks, chemists and post offices. There’s also a huge retail park with shops and restaurants.

There’s plenty to see and do in St Helens, including the World of Glass Museum, the Theatre Royal and the North West Museum of Road Transport. For people who like the outdoors there is a choice of parks, Taylor Park is popular and has a café while Sidings Lane Nature Reserve is the perfect place for wildlife spotting and a picnic.
