Living at this service
Life at Church Lane is suitable for people with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, acquired brain injury and mental health problems. The people living here are aged 55-77 and would be looking for someone aged 40+ who enjoys sport, music, watching TV, and being sociable. However, we fully respect someone’s space if they are more quiet or shy. Everyone living here enjoys accessing the community independently or as a group. They attend day centres and enjoy a wide variety of interests including poetry, football, pottery, visiting family and friends, baking, playing board games, taking day trips and holidays, shopping, parties, dancing, take-away nights, socialising together and lots more! The atmosphere is busy and vibrant, which can be louder at times but is always respectful, caring and safe. Church Lane is like a family home, where we appreciate each other’s differences.

“Church Lane has a warm, friendly, caring, environment where the people have said countless times that they feel like “one big happy family”. We are a team of five who pride ourselves on supporting people as we would support our own families. The team have a close, supportive working ethos, where nothing is too much”. Manager, Church Lane
