Eastford Road
Life-changing support for adults with mental health conditions.
Type of property
Eastford Road is ready to welcome new people to support them in leading an independent life.
Two semi-detached houses have been combined into one building to create a spacious open-plan kitchen and dining room, a living room, a utility room, and a conservatory. There are four bedrooms, each with a wet room-style ensuite.
Separate from the rest of the house, there is an internal apartment which has one bedroom, an open-plan kitchen, dining room and living room, and a bathroom with a bath.
Eastford Road also has a garden with a patio and a BBQ for people to spend time outside when the weather is good. The garden backs onto the River Mersey so there are usually ducks to feed!
Assistive technology includes an intercom system and door sensors.
Valued in your community
Eastford Road is in Lower Walton which is a residential area with a pub, shops and a convenience store, high-street shops and banks, a post office and a library.
Warrington is easily accessible for larger amenities including high-street banks, a post office, a library, Cockhedge and Golden Square Shopping Centres, the Museum of Policing in Cheshire, Warrington Museum and Art Gallery, Superbowl UK Warrington for bowling, and a Cineworld Cinema. Walton Gardens is close by – this is a lovely park with a small animal area, lovely gardens and café.
For people who like to stay active, DW Fitness First Warrington provides year-round access to exercise classes, a gym and a swimming pool. People also like walking in the local area - Morley Common is a popular destination.
Living at this service
We are ready to welcome a new person who appreciates a routine. The women we support here are aged between 30 and 75, and live with mental health conditions.
One woman enjoys coffee and taking a weekly trip into town, another likes cooking, eating out, going for pub lunches and taking trips into town. Another enjoys drawing and writing letters.
At Eastford Road, people choose how they spend their time - trips to Blackpool to watch a show are favourites. Hobbies include cooking, listening to music, watching television, shopping, socialising and being in the community.
“Eastford Road is in a very idyllic setting within a good area. At the bottom of the garden there is a river and in the summer the ducks come into the garden to be fed. It's a quiet and settled house. The community is very safe and calm. The staff are long-term and are onsite 24 hours to offer support.” Manager, Eastford Road
