Ferndale is a large, four-bedroomed bungalow with level access throughout. The bedrooms share one wet-room style bathroom and another shared bathroom with a bath. There’s also a kitchen with a dining area, a living room and a sensory room that everyone can benefit from. Outside there is a lovely garden with a patio area for everyone to enjoy.

Life at Ferndale is suitable for people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, autism or mental health conditions.

We are ready to welcome a female aged over 50 to join the other ladies currently living in the house. The people we support here are sociable and friendly so someone with a similar outlook would be ideal.  

They enjoy a wide range of activities including music, going to the pub, going for walks, cooking and gardening. They also enjoy planning day trips with trips to the coast and local tourist attractions being firm favourites

Ferndale is in a leafy residential area with convenience stores, restaurants, pubs and takeaways all within a few miles.

Nearby Preston also provides access to a range of vibrant cafes, restaurants, shops and attractions including St George’s and Fishergate shopping centres, and an Odeon cinema. Preston is also home to the Creative Space Centre - the UK’s largest multi-sensory centre for people with special needs. There are three sensory rooms, all with modern lighting and sound projection equipment, a social and eating area and beautiful gardens.

Southport is also a popular destination for the Pleasureland, pier and beach, Marine Lake Promenade, the Model Railway Village, a Vue Cinema, Tenpin Southport, theatres and art galleries.
