At Foden View apartments, people come together as a community. Living in this shared building means people benefit from a vibrant network of staff and friends, as well as enjoying peace and quiet when they need it too.
The building has fifteen one-bedroom apartments, each with an open-plan kitchen and living room, and a wet room style bathroom. Foden View also has an accessible garden with a patio for people to use when the weather is good. People are welcome to have pets - there is currently a resident dog and a goldfish.
Assistive technology can be tailored to suit individual needs. The property currently has automatic doors at the entrance and CCTV throughout.
Valued in your community
At Foden View, we are fortunate to be located in a picturesque, historical area with peaceful surroundings. The local area has cafes, pubs and restaurants, as well as a post office, high-street banks and a library. There’s a weekly market too.
For people who like to stay active, Sandbach Leisure Centre provides year-round access to a gym, swimming pool and group classes. The centre also has an ‘Ability for All’ programme which is a dedicated service that brings adults with varied disabilities together to enjoy sports activities in an inclusive environment.
A short bus journey will take you to Crewe which has the Market Shopping Centre, the Lyceum Theatre, an Odeon cinema and Crewe Heritage Centre. Queens Park and Burma Star Island provide picturesque walks when the weather is good.
Nearby Stoke-on-Trent also provides access to larger attractions including Waterworld swimming pool, Festival Retail Park and intu Potteries for shopping, the Regent Theatre, the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery, and Tenpin Stoke bowling.
Living at this service
Foden View is an ideal home for a person of any age and gender. The people we support here are young adults who enjoy shopping, cooking, gardening, swimming, football, playing the guitar, walking, listening to music, watching television, and being in the community.
At Foden View, people choose how they spend their time. Day trips to Blackpool and Alton Towers theme park are favourites. Many people choose to go out for a Christmas Dinner and come together to celebrate people’s birthdays.
“Staff really enjoy working at Foden View because the people we support are very varied. This means every day is different. People enjoy having their independence within their own apartment while benefiting from the security of staff being present 24/7.” Manager, Foden View
