Gladstone House
Type of property
Gladstone House is a large, double-fronted semi-detached house that is shared by five people. There are five spacious bedrooms, three toilets, a bathroom, a shower room, kitchen-diner, lounge and games room and a laundry room.
Outside there’s a small rear yard that everyone can access. Derby Arboretum Park is only a few minutes’ walk away and provides year round access to beautiful outdoor space.
When you choose supported living, you’re choosing to live independently, safe and secure behind your own front door. There’s peace of mind in knowing the Lifeways team is on-hand, providing tailored support that helps people to lead more fulfilling lives, surrounded by like-minded people.
Living at this service
Life at Gladstone House is suitable for people with learning disabilities, autism, brain injuries, or mental health conditions.
We are ready to welcome a male over 30 who is semi-independent but requires some support to live in the community. The people we support here are all male and have lots of hobbies and interests like listening to music, socialising, going for walks and out for lunch, shopping and cooking.
Valued in your community
There are few things more rewarding than feeling like an active and valued part of the community. Gladstone House is in the heart of Derby, with all the city amenities within walking distance. Large supermarkets like Aldi and Tesco are within walking distance, and Derbion Shopping Centre is a ten-minute walk away and features a 3D cinema, food hall and lots of high street shops and restaurants.
Derby has numerous gyms, public parks and a leisure centre, all within easy reach. Several specialist day services are nearby and we have supported people to access these over the years. Derby has excellent transport links to the wider area by train and bus, and is close to the M1 for travelling further afield by car.
“Gladstone House is a nice established service in Derby, close to all the amenities of the city. There’s so much to do in the local area including several specialist day services. We support the people here to live the life they choose, learn new skills and develop their independence.” Manager, Gladstone House
