Greenlands View
Life-changing residential care for adults with autism, physical disabilities and mental health conditions.
Type of property
Greenlands View is a residential service where people are supported to live independently.
The shared detached bungalow has a kitchen, an open-plan lounge and dining area, and a second living room. There are eight bedrooms, each with a wet room style en-suite, and a shared sensory bathroom, dim lighting and a jacuzzi bath for people to relax in if they choose.
Greenlands View also has a large wheelchair accessible garden mostly made up of lawns where people can choose to enjoy outdoor activities when the weather is good.
Valued in your community
At Greenlands View, we place people’s personal interests, needs and aspirations at the heart of absolutely everything we do. We are in a residential area with a range of rural walks nearby - Woodgate Valley is a favourite.
For people who like to stay active, we have year-round access to Northfield Pool and Fitness Centre.
The neighbouring towns of Halesowen, Harborne and Northfield offer access to a range of shops like Cornbow Shopping Centre and Merry Hill Shopping Centre which also offers larger shops and an Odeon Cinema.
Nearby Birmingham has a large range of amenities, including the Thinktank Science Museum, the Bullring Shopping Centre, O2 Academy, Sealife Centre, and a number of theatres.
Living at this service
Greenlands View is ideal for someone with multiple needs who wants to live in an active home where their independence is encouraged. The people living here are aged between 18 and 40 and our support team are equipped to deal with challenging behaviour, so someone with complex care needs is very welcome here.
At Greenlands View, people enjoy daily walks in the local area, cooking, socialising with their families, shopping, listening to music, going to the disco, sensory play, arts and crafts, swimming and watching films. We aim to ensure all goals are met, whether it’s making a sandwich or choosing clothes to wear and what they want to watch on television.
People choose how they spend their time - day trips to Liverpool, Manchester and the circus are a few recent examples. This is a busy household where people like to stay active so we work in collaboration with each person to make sure they can do whatever activities they’d like.
“Greenlands View is a large house in a very peaceful area that is quiet without feeling isolated. It’s easily accessible too. The bungalow is a new build so everything is modern and spacious. Every bedroom is personalised. The staff are long-standing and have a great relationship with the people we support - they all really enjoy working here.”
