Valued in your community
At Greenside Gardens, we are fortunate to be located in a peaceful village with peaceful surroundings.
Leyland is the closest town, with cafes, pubs, a library, a post office, restaurants, shops, high-street banks, South Ribble Museum and Exhibition Centre, and the British Commercial Vehicle Museum. For people who like to stay active, Leyland Leisure Centre provides year-round access to a gym and swimming pool, or there are beautiful walks in the surrounding countryside.
People also like to visit Preston, with its larger amenities. There’s St George’s and Fishergate Shopping Centres, the Harris Museum, art gallery and library, a Vue cinema, and Preston Rock n Bowl.
Living at this service
Greenside Gardens is an ideal home for a sociable person who enjoys a quiet, happy environment. There is plenty to do nearby and the people we support enjoy visiting the local cafes for lunch, going to church, socialising, listening to music, walking, karaoke, shopping, cooking, watching television, and being in the community.
At Greenside Gardens, people choose how they spend their time - meetings are held every month to decide on what kind of activities we should do. People particularly enjoy going to Blackpool, Liverpool and the coast.
“Greenside Gardens is a lovely bungalow in a very quiet and peaceful area. The people we support here are encouraged to be as independent as possible, to try new things and to make the most of what's on offer in the local community. The house has a happy and jolly atmosphere.” Manager, Greenside Gardens
