Hallfield House
Type of property
Hallfield House is a beautifully converted building containing seven spacious apartments, one of which is wheelchair accessible. Set over four floors, people can benefit from community living while enjoying their own space too. All apartments consist of an open plan kitchen and living area, bedroom and en-suite bathroom. White goods are included in each apartment and assistive technology can be tailored to suit the needs of each person. The lower ground floor apartments are accessed externally at the rear of the property and two of the first floor flats are duplex, with the bedroom being reached via an internal staircase. Hallfield House has an outside area for people to relax in when the weather is good and there is parking on site for seven cars.

When you choose supported living, you’re choosing to live independently, safe and secure behind your own front door. There’s peace of mind in knowing the Lifeways team is on-hand, providing tailored support that helps people to lead more fulfilling lives, surrounded by like-minded people. Hallfield House is suitable for people with learning disabilities and autism. We are ready to welcome new people of any age and gender who would benefit from the right support in a modern and welcoming environment. Everyone will be supported to live as independently as possible and to choose how they spend their time. We can support people to take part in the hobbies and activities they enjoy, access education or employment and make the most of what the local community has to offer.
Living at this service
There are few things more rewarding than feeling like an active and valued part of the community. Hallfield House is located close to Stockport Town Centre giving access to shops, restaurants and pubs, with banks, libraries and post offices all centrally located. The train station is near to the service and has regular services into Manchester and further afield. Stockport offers diverse social activities for people with learning disabilities, including activity hubs like Impact Social Hub and the Newbridge Centre, supported groups through Disability Stockport's Connect, and youth-focused groups via AutiSK, covering everything from sports and arts to pub nights and day trips, fostering skills, confidence, and social connections in a supportive environment.
Our whole family has been supported by the kind, friendly and professional staff. They saw the potential in our quiet, reserved son and gently gave him the confidence to move into his beautiful new flat.
