Haynes Road

Type of property
At Haynes Road we empower people with learning disabilities, autism and other complex needs to live as independently as possible, to become integral members of the community and to achieve their goals and aspirations through individual care pathways. This three bedroom semi-detached house has an open-plan kitchen, living room and dining room, a communal bathroom with a walk-in shower, and an ensuite with a bathroom with shower. Patio doors from the kitchen lead onto an accessible garden with decking for spending time outdoors when the weather is good.
Valued in your community
Haynes Road is in a residential area with pubs, shops, restaurants and a post office. Bedford is within walking distance and offers the Harpur Shopping Centre, a Vue Cinema, The Higgins Art Gallery and Museum, and Bedford Central Library. For people who like to stay active, Trinity Arts and Leisure provides year-round access to exercise classes, a gym, sports courts and a swimming pool. People also enjoy walking in the local area - Bedford Park is a popular destination. People also like to visit nearby Northampton which has attractions including the Grosvenor Shopping Centre, theatres, museums, art galleries, Ten Pin Northampton for bowling, Northampton Marina, and Delapre Abbey.
Living at this service
We are ready to welcome a sociable person to join the two men we support here. Both in their thirties, the people we support here live with mental health conditions, autism and acquired brain injury. One man enjoys walking in the park, going to the gym, shopping, and visiting his mum. He appreciates his personal space and sometimes needs a lot of encouragement from staff to stay motivated. Another man likes meeting his friends, being with family and going to the river. People have hobbies including listening to music, swimming, gaming, watching television, going to the pub, socialising and being in the community.
