There are nine apartments, one is a staff apartment so there is always someone available 24 hours a day. Each apartment has a double bedroom, lounge-diner, kitchen and bathroom. There’s a small car park and a grassed area at the front of the building.

There’s a range of people living here, aged from 30 to 75. They have a group session every week where they get together and do fun activities. Some people like to keep to themselves, while others are really sociable and are very active in the community.

They enjoy lots of hobbies and interests, and like to cook, attend music groups, and have BBQs. Some like to go out to bingo; others enjoy football and sports. There’s a real family atmosphere at the apartments and it’s ideal for someone who needs support and enjoys a lively, homely environment.

Hyde Park Apartments are ideally situated in the centre of Preston, close to all local shops and amenities. Within walking distance there are cafes, restaurants, pubs and takeaways. Preston is a vibrant city with museums, galleries, high street shops and tourist attractions.

There are some great public parks and wildlife parks nearby, including a bird of prey sanctuary and wild boar park. Cuerden Valley Park is popular and has woodlands, river walks and a café.

Local transport links are excellent – the main bus station is a five-minute walk away, and it’s 20 minutes to the station where you can get services to many cities in the UK.
