Living at this service
At Kimbolton Avenue we support people between 33 and 63 years of age. The people we support have a range of needs including autism, learning disabilities and OCD.
One of the men we support likes doing puzzles and word searches, reading the newspaper and socialising. Another often visits his family, and enjoys working, going to the library, and reading. We support one woman who likes volunteering, going to the gym and helping in the house and kitchen.
At Kimbolton Avenue, people choose how they spend their time. People have hobbies including listening to music, watching television, gaming, socialising, going to the pub, walking, gardening, shopping, cooking, and being in the community. Trips to the coast, the safari park and Southend are favourites. People have also been on holiday to Disneyland and Portugal.
“Kimbolton Avenue is like one big family, we have a long-standing and experienced support team. Both staff and the people we support are very welcoming. The atmosphere is very settled, quiet and comfortable. Everyone here has happy routines and enjoys spending time with one another.” Manager, Kimbolton Avenue
