Living at this service
Life at Kingsway is suitable for people with learning disabilities or autism support needs.
The house has a very relaxing, homely atmosphere and is very person-centred. At present there are three ladies living here who are all aged in their mid-30s and have lived together for more than ten years. All the ladies have good communication skills and enjoy going out for coffee and meals together, shopping, cooking, watching movies and going to the theatre. They regularly attend local discos, friendship and singing groups and social evenings. Tenants’ meetings are held once a month, where the ladies discuss upcoming events and activities that they would like to do.
Kingsway would be ideal for a lady aged 30 to 50, who likes their own space but also being involved in group activities, is able to use public transport, and enjoys music, singing and parties.
“Kingsway is in a perfect location and is a relaxing house. There is a small staff team, who have all worked with the three ladies for over ten years and are very supportive and willing to go above and beyond for the people we support.”
