Oak House (Birmingham)
Life-changing support for adults with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities and mental health conditions.
Type of property
Oak House is a new property for Lifeways. It is modern and beautifully finished, ready to welcome new residents. The apartments provide the perfect mix of independent living and staff support - living in a shared building means individuals can benefit from a vibrant community, while having peace and quiet whenever they need it too.
The property has twenty-eight one-bedroom apartments, arranged over three floors. Each apartment has a large open-plan kitchen, lounge and dining room, and a wet room style bathroom. Oak House has a communal lounge and an accessible garden with a patio for people to socialise.
Every apartment is equipped with an intercom system, and the property has CCTV. Assistive technology within each apartment can be tailored to suit individual needs.
Valued in your community
At Oak House, we’re fortunate to be located close to vibrant cafes, pubs, shops, a post office and high-street banks. We also have year-round access to Perry Common Library, and Kingstanding Wellbeing Centre for swimming and other fitness activities.
Birmingham city centre offers a larger range of amenities, including the Thinktank Science Museum, the Bullring Shopping Centre, O2 Academy, Sealife Centre, and a number of theatres and art galleries.
People also enjoy going to the coast, Sutton Park Donkey Sanctuary, paintball, bingo, and trips to the local pubs.
Living at this service
Oak House is ready to welcome new residents. The apartments would be well suited to people aged between 18 and 65. As there are a lot of shared spaces, a calm, sociable and active person would be very happy here.
Everyone is welcome - all new applicants will be assessed to make sure the individual is the right fit and that we can provide the necessary care.
“Oak House is a brand new set of apartments, providing support in this really accessible area. The staff here are conscientious and always work hard to help people gain independence and confidence. It’s an ideal apartment block that has a happy and communal atmosphere for all.” Manager, Oak House
