Type of property
Pilling Lane is a modern bungalow where people are supported to live happy and independent lives. The house consists of two adjoining one-bedroom units, each with their own bathroom, bedroom and living room with a shared kitchen in between. There’s an additional staff sleep-in room for overnight support.
The bungalow has level access for wheelchair users, and there’s a lovely garden which goes all the way around the house.
When you choose supported living, you’re choosing to live independently, safe and secure behind your own front door. There’s peace of mind in knowing the Lifeways team is on-hand, providing tailored support that helps people to lead more fulfilling lives, surrounded by like-minded people.
Living at this service
Life at Pilling Lane is suitable for people with learning disabilities, brain injuries, physical disabilities or autism.
There’s a nice mix of people living here, and they are supported to do the things they love. One enjoys going for a drive in his car and going to the local park, and the other especially enjoys going shopping and reading magazines.
Valued in your community
Pilling Lane is ideally situated close to the centre of Chorley, a market town surrounded by beautiful countryside. There are shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants all within walking distance, and the town centre is only minutes away.
There’s also a bowling alley and a cinema, and for those who enjoy the outdoors, Astley Park and Duxbury Woods are popular destinations, offering riverside walks, lakes and outdoor activities such as bowling and putting greens. The transport links are excellent, with Manchester, Southport and Preston all within easy reach.
