Pineapple Road
Life-changing support for adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health conditions.
Type of property
Pineapple Road is a four-bed semi-detached property where people are supported to live independently.
There’s a kitchen with a dining table, a living room, and a laundry room in the conservatory. All bedrooms come equipped with ensuite shower rooms. The garden is accessible and has a patio for people to use when the weather is good.
Valued in your community
At Pineapple Road, we’re fortunate to be located just outside Birmingham town centre. The local area has a lot to offer including a post office, cafes, restaurants and high-street banks. There is a farmer’s market in nearby Kings Heath every month, too.
People at Pineapple Road choose how they spend their time. Regular trips to Drayton Manor Park, Cheshire, Liverpool and Blackpool are firm favourites, whilst we enjoy year-round use of local leisure facilities such as swimming at Cocks Moors Woods Leisure Centre.
Living at this service
Pineapple Road is ideal for a person aged over 30, who has a calm manner. Two men and two women, aged between 55 and 75 who live with learning difficulties and mental health conditions have lived here for several years.
One person we support here likes animals, watching black and white films, going for walks and travelling on the bus. The two men here both enjoy listening to music, going to the cinema and taking day trips.
All of the people we support at Pineapple House enjoy a quiet, stable lifestyle. They often do arts and crafts together at home, and enjoy gardening and cooking, with support from the team.
The people we support enjoy regular trips to local pubs, karaoke and bingo. We have even arranged a group trip to Mexico.
“At Pineapple Road, the location lets the residents live active and engaged lives. The property is lovely and feels like a home. The people we care for get on really well with each other. The staff really enjoy working with these individuals too.” Manager, Pineapple Road
