Pioneer Court has a mixture of one-bed apartments and bungalows that provide the perfect mix of independent living and collaborative, community support. Living in this shared building means people can benefit from a vibrant network of friends and staff support, while having peace and quiet whenever they need it too.
There are fourteen apartments and four bungalows, each with a wet room style bathroom, and an open-plan kitchen, lounge and dining area. All of the bungalows, as well as the ground floor apartments, are wheelchair accessible and have access to a shared garden with a patio area.
Pioneer Court has assistive technology including an intercom, a pendant system to call for staff, and CCTV. Two bungalows also come equipped with automatic doors.

Pioneer Court is in a residential area with small cafes, pubs and restaurants, as well as Ford Green Hall Museum and Whitfield Valley Nature Reserve. Nearby Tunstall and Hanley both have a wider range of libraries, high-street shops and banks. For people who like to stay active, Dimensions Leisure Centre provides year-round access to a gym and swimming pool.
A short bus journey will take you to Stoke-on-Trent, which has larger attractions including Waterworld swimming pool, Festival Retail Park and intu Potteries for shopping, Regent Theatre, the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery, Tenpin Stoke bowling, an Odeon Cinema and a Cineworld.

People at Pioneer Court choose how they spend their time - lunch out or visiting the pub are firm favourites. For day trips, people also enjoy going to Chester Zoo and Blackpool.
