St Josephs Road 1
Life-changing support for adults with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries or mental health conditions.
Type of property
At St Josephs, people are supported to live with independence.
This service consists of two two-bedroom semi-detached bungalows which have a kitchen, a living room, and a bathroom. There is a connecting door between the properties and everyone supported here has similar needs. There's a lovely community feel and the people here get along but also have their own space when they need it.
St Josephs also has a shared accessible garden with a patio for everyone to relax in when the weather is good.
Valued in your community
St Josephs is in a peaceful residential area with cafes, pubs, restaurants, shops, a post office and a HSBC bank. For people who like to stay active, Springs Leisure Centre provides year-round access to exercise classes, sports courts, a swimming pool and a gym. People also enjoy walking in the local area - High Hazels Park is a popular destination.
Nearby Sheffield also provides access to attractions such as Weston Park and Kelham Island Museums, the Lyceum and Crucible theatres, Victoria Quays, cinemas and art galleries, Meadowhall Shopping Centre, Sheffield Winter Garden, and Magna Science and Adventure Centre.
Living at this service
St Josephs is ready to welcome a laid back person who appreciates peace and quiet. The person we support here is a 64 year old woman who lives with learning disabilities. She likes being out in the community, interacting with staff, shopping, listening to music, watching television, walking, swimming and travelling.
People choose how they want to spend their time - day trips to the coast, tourist attractions, the zoo, the safari park and the Christmas Markets are favourites.
“People enjoy living at St Josephs as it is a quiet area with a lovely view of the park. Everything people need is in the local area and everyone feels safe within the community. It is a very calm and happy household.” Manager, St Josephs
