Living at this service
The Cottage is ready to welcome a sociable man. The people we support here are men with autism and learning disabilities, aged between 25 and 55. This is a busy, lively environment where people like to stay active.
At The Cottage, people enjoy shopping, listening to music, swimming, cooking, trampolining, puzzles, crafts, sensory activities, gardening, bingo, walking, watching television, socialising, and being in the community.
People choose how they want to spend their time - day trips to the Lincolnshire coast and Norfolk are favourites.
“Heath Farm is a specialised centre for people with autism and learning disabilities. It is in a rural setting with green, open spaces which are quiet and calm. Each property has its own vehicle which helps people to access the community whenever they like. There is a behaviour team onsite, headed by a psychologist, that meets with residents every week. All of the managers have worked here for over twenty years, giving them excellent experience in helping the people we support to gain the best life and independence possible. There is a real community feel across all the properties, making it a safe and happy place to live.” Manager, Heath Farm
