At Urmson Road apartments people come together as a community. Living in this shared building means people benefit from a vibrant network of staff and friends, as well as profiting from the peace and quiet when they need it too.
Each apartment has a kitchen, a lounge area, and a bathroom with a bath and shower. The ground floor apartments are fully accessible with an accessible kitchen and the property also benefits from an accessible garden for people to use when the weather is good.
There is assistive technology including door sensors, a Possum Telecare system, CCTV and panic alarms.
Valued in your community
Every three months, we come together to choose how to spend time in the local area. At Urmson Road, we are fortunate to be located in Liscard, just a short walk from the coast.
The local area has many cafes and pubs, Cherry Tree Shopping Centre, and Wallasey Central Library. For people who like to stay active, Guinea Gap Leisure Centre provides year-round access to a gym and swimming pool.
Nearby New Brighton offers the Light Cinema, a miniature golf course, Marine Point retail and leisure park, Riverside Bowl and Laser Quest, a model boating lake, and the Floral Pavilion Theatre.
Liverpool is easily accessible from the property. Here, people can enjoy numerous museums and art galleries, Liverpool ONE Shopping Centre, the Liverpool Empire, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, and Imagine That Science and Discovery Centre. And we’re spoilt for choice for beautiful walks - the docks, Toxteth Park, Wavertree Botanic Gardens and Sefton Park are just a small selection.
Liverpool is also home to The Reader Organisation - a charity specialising in shared reading to improve mental wellbeing. Located in Calderstones Park, people can visit the Reader Cafe or the Storybarn to join shared reading sessions, where stories are read aloud and then discussed.

At Urmson Road, people choose how they spend their time - Chester Zoo is a firm favourite. Closer to home, people enjoy going to the beach.
“At Urmson Road, many of the people we support have gained life skills from living here. The staff have worked here for a long time, and are very goal-oriented with people.” Manager, Urmson Road
