The house is a Dorma bungalow in a pleasant neighbourhood south of Glasgow. The house has five bedrooms, one of which is upstairs and is used as a staff sleep-in room for overnight support. There’s also a large kitchen-diner and a spacious living room. There’s a shared bathroom which has an overhead tracking hoist and a hydro bath with chair lift.

Outside there’s a front garden with a large driveway, ideal for mobility cars. At the rear there’s a large garden with patio area, lawn and raised beds.

Life at Waterside Road is suitable for people with learning disabilities, autism or someone with physical disabilities who has some mobility.

There are three men living here and we are ready to welcome someone new, of any age or gender. There’s a small staff team who have supported people at the service for many years. The men all require a high level of support and are supported to do the daily activities they enjoy and achieve their goals.

Waterside Road is in a pleasant rural residential area about five miles south of Glasgow. The village of Carmunnock is a short walk away and has a few shops, a restaurant and a café. A short drive away is Castlemilk which has shops, a post office, pubs and supermarkets.

It’s only a 25-minute drive to the centre of Glasgow, where you can find a huge range of shops, leisure facilities, landmarks and heritage sites. There are plenty of green spaces near the service too – Cathkin Braes, Linn Park and James Hamilton Heritage Park are all within a few miles.
