Type of property
At Watnall Road people are supported to live independent lives.

Valued in your community
At Watnall Road, we are fortunate to be located in a vibrant residential area with cafes, pubs and restaurants, high-street banks, a post office and a library. In nearby Mansfield, there’s an Odeon cinema, the Four Seasons Shopping Centre and Mansfield Superbowl for tenpin bowling too.
Hucknall Leisure Centre provides year-round access to a gym and swimming pool, and there’s Bestwood Country Park for walks when the weather is good.
People also like to go to Nottingham for larger shops and amenities, Cineworld cinema, Nottingham Tenpin Bowl, Nottingham Castle, Museum and Art Gallery, Green’s Windmill and Science Centre, ice skating at Motorpoint Arena, Nottingham Playhouse Theatre, and Victoria or Broadmarsh shopping centres.
Nottingham also has Nottingham University City Hospital which provides access to services for brain injury, cystic fibrosis, epilepsy and seizure disorders, speech and language therapy, and neurological rehabilitation outpatients.
Living at this service
Watnall Road is ready to welcome a sociable man around 50 years of age. The men we support here are aged between 58 and 62, and all live with learning disabilities.
People here enjoy visiting the day centre, going on the bus, watching television, listening to music, going to the disco, visiting family, writing, socialising, going to football matches, colouring, walking, shopping, bingo, and being in the community.
People choose how they spend their time. We take regular day trips as a group - Blackpool and Skegness are favourites. People also enjoy visiting Christmas markets and attending the local pantomime.
“Watnall Road has a lovely, warm and homely environment. The people we support here have lived together for a very long time. They are all really welcoming and loving.” Manager, Watnall Road
