In nearby Manchester, there are lots of places to visit, including the Arndale Centre and Trafford Centres for shopping, Sea Life Manchester, the Opera House, an Odeon cinema, theatres, museums, art galleries and bowling alleys. There’s also the Coronation Street Tour in Media City, Salford. For people who like to stay active, Manchester provides year-round access to a number of gyms and swimming pools.
Living at this service
Westfield is ready to welcome someone new. People living here are aged between 50 and 64, and live with autism, learning disabilities, cerebral palsy, stroke, Hepatitis B, Down's syndrome, dementia, speech and hearing impairment, and epilepsy.
One of the people who lives here likes wrestling and music. Another enjoys being pampered, having his nails painted and beard plaited. The other man likes to spend time outside the house, in the community. The final man we support here enjoys going to church and talking about Jamaica. There is one woman here. She loves classical music, and socialising.
At Westfield, people enjoy going to the day centre, doing sensory activities, being outdoors, going to church, spending time with family, karaoke, walking, shopping, cooking, listening to music, swimming, bingo, watching television, and being in the community.
“Westfield is a hub of activity that caters to all sensory needs. The property is nestled in a quiet part of Manchester, with easy access to all local amenities. It’s a very happy and comfortable house.” Manager, Westfield
