Living at this service
Life at Yelland Road is suitable for people with learning disabilities, autism, brain injuries, physical disabilities or mental health conditions.
Currently two ladies and one man live here, ranging in age from 21 to 50. They attend the local college during the week and in their leisure time enjoy board games, cooking, shopping, watching movies and days out.
We are ready to welcome someone new, ideally a female who likes a quiet house and who would enjoy social activities out in the community. The people here love to get out and explore the local area – especially the beautiful beaches.
Valued in your community
Yelland Road is on the north coast of Devon, about four miles from Barnstaple. The villages of Fremington and Yelland are nearby, and within walking distance there are two shops, a post office and a chemist. There’s a bus stop right outside which takes you to Barnstaple or Bideford.
The stunning North Devon Coast is minutes away and there are plenty of beaches, coves and clifftop walks around the area. Appledore, Westward Ho! and Ilfracombe are all within easy reach. Barnstaple is a short drive away and has plenty of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants.
“Yelland Road is a calm and friendly house. The people here are very friendly and respectful of others. We are a small staff team that all get along so well. We enjoy group day trips exploring the area.”
