‘A dream come true’: Nic and Kes’ supported trip to Disneyland featured in Edinburgh Live!
A dream for both Nic and Kes, who live at our Edinburgh supported living service was fulfilled when they finally got to go on holiday to Disneyland – with our awesome support team in tow!
Nic spent “more time dancing than walking” during his trip to Disneyland Paris early in September, reported Edinburgh Live.
The report adds that Nic “met more characters than he could count, and joyfully ate every Disney shaped food he could find.”
“It was a dream come true,” Nic told the reporter, describing his trip.
Alongside Nic and Kes for the trip was Antonia Myles, the registered manager of their Lifeways service.
“When Nic moved to Lifeways, he told us during his assessment that going to Disneyland was one of his biggest goals in life,” said Antonia Myles, the registered manager of Lifeways Group Edinburgh.
“We had actually planned to go Disneyland a couple years ago, but we had to postpone because of the pandemic.”
The pandemic however, had one blessing: it gave Nic extra time to buy Disney-themed items to prepare for the trip!
