By Andrea Kinkade, Chief Executive of Lifeways

After my full first year as Chief Executive of Lifeways, I’m so proud to share with you the Lifeways Annual Review covering February 2023 to February 2024.

We continue to be the UK’s largest team of professionals providing support for adults with complex needs in their communities, putting people at the heart of everything we do, striving to offer a uniquely personal service.

Whilst our review is designed to be thorough, it cannot possibly capture every diverse achievement of our brilliant team members and, most importantly, the people we support – but I hope you find it brings to life the people who make this organisation thrive.

If you were to ask me for one word to sum up 2023/24, I would say ‘transformation’. We’re changing and improving rapidly, retaining the very best of what we do whilst placing our resources where needed to make us fit for the future.

We have a new Board that governs our organisation with passion and expertise. We have a new Executive Leadership Team, comprising established talent from inside and outside the Group.

We have a new mission, aim and strategy. We have new systems – most notably Nourish, our e-support system and Deputy, our e-rostering system. New services, new homes, new people we support. In fact, everywhere I look across the Group I can see evidence of something new that we have done to take our care and support to the next level.

Whether you’re someone we support, a family member of someone we support, a colleague, a partner from one of the many organisations we work with, or someone who thinks we may be the right choice for them, I hope that you find our review interesting and informative.

Our journey to become both the employer and provider of choice in the social care sector is progressing at pace.
