Finalists at Scottish Care Awards

We are delighted to have been shortlisted for the Innovation in Action category at the prestigious 2018 Scottish Care Awards.

This is in recognition of work done by the team in Glasgow to drive up quality by working together with the people we support in the region – this is a great example of co-production in action and it’s fantastic that we’re been eternally recognised for it.

The team, which includes Senior Service Manager Jacqueline Taylor and Service Managers Lesley Hall and Louise Nwaokorobia, has done this through a series of events that include quarterly employee forums and a Dignity Day. Ensuring the service provided in the region has a person-centred approach has been key to this, as has been ensuring the people we support have consistency in their support by introducing robust contingency plans and flexibility to accommodate unplanned eventualities.

Audit results have shown this has had a huge impact on quality, with scores increasing to over 90 per cent since 2017. The team will find out if they have won the category at the award event, which takes place on Friday 18 May at the Marriott hotel in Glasgow. Good luck!!!
