A laughing lady who is supported by Lifeways

Lifeways, the UK’s biggest provider of supported living for people with complex needs, has been shortlisted for three awards at the prestigious LaingBuisson Awards.

The care company, which supports more than 4,100 people, was nominated in three categories – Excellence in Specialist Care, Excellence in Supported Living and the Public Private Partnership category.

The LaingBuisson Awards, now in their 19th year, honour businesses that establish new benchmarks of excellence. Nominations are assessed independently and objectively.

Andrea Kinkade, Chief Executive at Lifeways, said: “I’m so proud of our teams. To earn three very deserved nominations is, for me, a reflection of their tireless hard work, passion and commitment to helping lift up the people we support to live more independent lives.

“Seeing the people we support grow and thrive is the biggest reward for our teams, but earning national recognition for their diligence and talent is wonderful too and I wish our teams the best of luck for awards night.”

The Excellence in Specialist Care category recognises excellent providers of specialist care for adults with physical or learning disabilities or mental health problems in a residential setting.

The Excellence in Supported Living category aims to highlight excellence in looking after adults with physical or learning disabilities or mental health problems in supported living.

The Public Private Partnership looks for excellence in a strategic partnership between the public and independent sectors with a focus on outcomes, value for money and innovation.

The award ceremony will be held at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge in London on Thursday, November 21, 2024.
