It's official: Whitwood Hall is Outstanding
We are delighted to announce that our Whitwood Hall service in Castleford has just achieved an overall rating of Oustanding at a recent CQC inspection.
The inspection report praises the service for its effectiveness is encouraging people to do as much as possible for themselves, the knowledge and experience of the staff, and the exceptional outcomes for the people supported there. The report also praised the Registered Manager, Tracy Halford, for driving the service with a strong vision of enabling people to live fulfilled lives as independently as possible.
The inspectors found that there was an open culture which promoted improvement, and that excellent teamwork and communication was embedded across the home. They noted that people were truly respected and valued as individuals, stating that they were "empowered as partners in their care in an exceptional service." Inspectors were impressed with empathy and patience of the staff.
Registered Manager Tracy said:
“I’m immensely proud of my team at Whitwood Hall. Together, we work hard to understand the needs of each person we support. We recognise that everyone is unique and we work alongside families and the people we support to ensure everyone is happy. We’re a family. I value my team and care about the lives of the people we support. It’s a great achievement to receive an Outstanding CQC report – something we know is not easy to attain. Quite honestly, we put our heart and soul in to the work we do and our reward is repaid through seeing people living happy and fulfilling lives.”
