Lifeways join the Care Workers’ Charity!
Lifeways has joined the Care Workers’ Charity, which assist the UK’s two million care workers with crisis grants and mental health assistance.
By joining the Care Workers’ Charity, Lifeways aims to help raise awareness of the support offered by the charity and widen its reach to assist more care workers.
Lifeways joins the Care Workers’ Charity as a supporter member, alongside other independent sector care providers.
‘Proud to support’
Lifeways’ CEO, Andrea Kinkade, says: “We are honoured to become a member of the Care Workers’ Charity, whose focus is to help those who deliver exceptional care to vulnerable people in our society. The CWC has helped more than 10,000 care workers with crisis grants over the last 15 years.
“They promote and champion the professional and mental wellbeing of care workers and, equally importantly, they give care workers the opportunity to be heard and to contribute to the shaping of care delivery in our sector. The Care Workers’ Charity is a vital lifeline that Lifeways is proud to support.”
The Care Workers’ Charity’s vision is to ensure no care worker faces financial hardship alone and to champion their cause.
Since its founding in 2009, the Care Workers’ Charity has helped more than 10,000 care workers with crisis grants. The charity also has a Mental Health Support Programme, which offers care workers free mental health treatment with qualified therapists.
