Lifeways marks Mental Health Awareness Week 2022 with ‘five days, five ways’ campaign!
This year, 9-15 May marks Mental Health Awareness Week in the UK.
And during this week, Lifeways has launched an internal campaign called ‘Five Days, Five Ways to improve your Mental Health.’
Here’s how the campaign works:
Each day of the week, a ‘bingo card’ is posted on Workplace, our internal colleague engagement platform.
Each bingo card contains several suggested ways to boost your wellbeing. These options include:
- Treating yourself
- Eating a healthy meal
- Spending time in nature
- Unplugging from your phone or computer
- Acknowledging your achievements
The aim of the bingo card is to complete a bingo game-style ‘full house,’ by doing one of the above activities each day.
To accompany these activities, our HR advisors will each day post up tips on how colleagues can achieve each of these mental health and wellbeing goals.
Starting the week right
Colleagues also have the option to post up their wellbeing activities on Workplace.
To start her week, Elizabeth, a Lifeways support worker based in Glasgow, took a bike ride around Millport, a town on the Isle of Cumbrae.
“I feel fresh air clears the mind and soul,” Elizabeth wrote on our colleague engagement platform.
We’re still on the very first day of our Mental Health Awareness Week campaign – so watch this space!
