Mulberry Lodge in Sutton in Ashfield is coming soon
Lifeways are developing a new specialist supported living service in Sutton in Ashfield that will provide high-quality accommodation and support for adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and complex care needs. Mulberry Lodge comprises of 14 one bedroom apartments, and will provide adults with their own tenancy with care staff available 24/7 to provide support and ensure they can live as independently as possible.
Mulberry Lodge has a bespoke layout, with a block of 6 apartments designed to support people with high level needs and physical disabilities, and two further blocks comprising of 8 flats designed for people with lower level support requirements. As with all our new developments, each apartment comes with assistive technology built in as standard, modern white goods and integrated appliances. There’s a communal garden for everyone to enjoy, and plenty of parking. It’s in an ideal location for accessing the local community and is close to local shops, amenities and transport links.
The service, being developed in partnership with HomeLife, was initially due to open in April, but this has been pushed back due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are in the final stages of completion and are hoping to open this summer once work re-commences.
Michaela Butterworth, Community Engagement & Development Manager, said “I’m really excited to get Mulberry Lodge up and running to provide a vital service for vulnerable adults in this area. It’s a lovely development that will enable people to live in a safe environment, as independently as they can, while receiving the right level of support. I’m happy to answer queries and take referrals for Mulberry Lodge in preparation for the opening later in the year.”
