The Board of Lifeways Community Care Limited (Lifeways) today announces the immediate appointment of Andrea Kinkade and Mark Beadle as CEO and Chair of the company, respectively.

Andrea is an experienced and driven Chief Executive with a proven track record in the healthcare sector, leading growth and transforming organisational performance. Her previous roles include being co-founder and CEO of Innovate Care Group, CEO of Active Care Group and MD of Independence Homes, where she motivated and challenged her teams to successfully deliver excellent care to those in need. With diverse experience in health and social care, Andrea is well placed to take on this role at Lifeways.

Mark has nearly 20 years’ experience working as a leader in the health and social care sector, previously occupying the positions of COO, CEO and Chair across numerous organisations, including roles as CEO of Aitch Care Homes, Non Executive Chairman of Springfield Healthcare, Non-Executive Chairman of Lighthouse group and COO of the Priory Group.

Justin Tydeman will be stepping down from the role of CEO and Peter Kiernan will be stepping down as Group Chair. The Board thanks Justin and Peter for their four years of dedicated service to the company.

Under Justin’s stewardship, the Board and the Executive Leadership Team have achieved a significant operational turnaround at Lifeways and have positioned the Group for future profitable growth.

These appointments place Lifeways in a strong position to build on current successes, whilst ensuring that Lifeways continues to provide high quality care to the people it supports.

Commenting on her appointment to CEO, Andrea said: “Lifeways has long held the enviable position of being one of the largest and most respected care providers in the sector and it is a privilege to be joining this organisation. In my role as CEO, I am committed to continuing Justin’s approach of working in an open and transparent way to empower all employees to deliver the highest standard of care possible for the people we support. I look forward to working together to build on the excellent work Lifeways is already doing and to capitalise on the significant opportunities present in the sector.”

Mark added: “I have no doubt Andrea will be a great addition to the team and am excited to be working with her. I strongly believe that care organisations work best when the interests of service users are placed at the centre of all decision making. Lifeways epitomises that approach. Our ambition is to build on Lifeways’ success, but our immediate focus is ensuring we continue to provide high quality care to the thousands of people we support.”
