We're celebrating Dignity Action Day
Our support teams in Scotland are holding a range of activities in support of the Dignity Action Day campaign on 1st February.
We will hold Digni-Tea events for the people we support, inviting them to join us for cake and a cuppa and share their thoughts about the care they want to receive with us. Everyone will be encouraged to write down their views about dignity, and these will be displayed on Digni-Trees to showcase the importance of respect in our care services. We’re also hosting activities including ballroom dancing, charity car washes, craft sessions and bake sales.
Throughout the month, our registered managers will lead Dignity and Respect Policy Workshops for their staff teams to ensure that everyone understands the important role that they play in providing care with dignity.
Dignity Action Day gives everyone the opportunity to contribute to upholding people’s rights to dignity. The campaign aims to ensure people who use care services are treated as individuals and are given choice, control and a sense of purpose in their daily lives.
We’ll be sharing photos from the day on our Facebook page.
