Living at this service
The people we support here live with autism and learning disabilities, and are aged between 30 and 60. People here are sociable and have good social links with the other houses on the complex. People enjoy shopping, listening to music, swimming, cooking, walking, karaoke, gardening, trainspotting, watching television, going to the pub and being in the community. An aromatherapist visits Heath Farm twice a week, while Move and Mobility come once a week to help people with games and exercises that increase mobility.
“Heath Farm is a specialised centre for people with autism and learning disabilities. It is in a rural setting with green, open spaces which are quiet and calm. Each property has its own vehicle which helps people to access the community whenever they like. There is a behaviour team onsite, headed by a psychologist, that meets with residents every week. All of the managers have worked here for over twenty years, giving them excellent experience in helping the people we support to gain the best life and independence possible. There is a real community feel across all the properties, making it a safe and happy place to live.” Manager, Heath Farm
