Double shortlisting for Lifeways in top social care awards

Lifeways has been shortlisted in two categories at the Stars of Social Care Awards 2025.
We’re proud to announce that our brilliant team at Liffey Avenue have been shortlisted for The Above and Beyond Team Award (North & Midlands).
The Liffey Avenue team was shortlisted for helping a woman with complex needs turn her life around. Through consistent, person-centred Positive Behaviour Support, they reduced her anxiety, boosted her confidence, and supported her to enjoy meals out, shows, community activities, and new friendships after years in care and hospital settings.
Meanwhile, Specialist Support Practitioner Julie O’Donovan is up for the Learning and Development Award.
She was shortlisted for leading her team with passion and her expertise for creating tailored Positive Behaviour Support plans that make a real impact. Her approach and knowledge are helping improve the lives of the people we support every day.
The awards, which are hosted by ITV This Morning presenter Josie Gibson, celebrate the very best in social care, recognising people and teams who go the extra mile to change lives for the better.
Andrea Kinkade, CEO of Lifeways, said: “Being shortlisted for two awards is a real honour and massively deserved national recognition for the people and teams at Lifeways who work so hard to provide truly person-centred support.
“They, like so many of our team members, go above and beyond to provide the best possible opportunities to support people to live fulfilling, independent lives and I’m so proud to see them recognised in this way."
Liffey Avenue is a modern, semi-detached house where people are welcomed and supported to live independent, happy lives. The house has three bedrooms, one of which is used by the support team for overnight support. Find out more here: https://lifeways.co.uk/for-families/support-search/liffey-avenue
